Capitalism, Communism and the domino theory

Capitalism
A political system where everyone owns abit of the state and has the right to keep there money they earn if they pay tax. An example of a state that uses capitalism is USA.

Communism
A political system where the state owns everything and the money that is earned has to go to the goverment, they think the rights of people should be ignored. An example of a country that uses communism is USSR.
Each country think that there way of goverment should be how all goverment should be ran and this can cause conflicts between the country.

Cold War
The cold war was a war between USSR and USA eventhough there was no fighting involved.People say that the events after world war 2 was the reason the cold war started. Another reason why it started is because each country had different politcal views and they thought that every country should be the way the were. Joesph Stalin was annoyed because he fealt like he was fighting the war on his own, because USA,Great Britain and France didn't send any of his troops over to help fight.
The difference between a cold war and a hot war is that a hot war contains fighting and violence, on the other hand a cold war has no fighting.

Domino Theory
The domino theory was that if one country falls into communism other countrys will eventually fall into communism. The vietnam war is an example of this, in the image below, the vietcong soldier it attempting to make all the countries communism by laying them down. This means that if they are stood up straight they are capitalist and if they are layed down they are communism.

What My History class think about WW11?

My Key Question

Neville Chamberlain has been accused of being directly responsible for the Second World War. Would you agree that he is guilty of this?

There are a number of different reasons in why many people would have thought that Neville Chamberlain was responsible for the second world war, but there were other factors involved.

firstly people began to blame Chamberlin because of Appeasement this helped Hitler to get what he wanted this meant that Hitler was now able to get more lebensraum (living space) for his country to control. Due to appeasement, Hitler was able to do this with out any arguments from Britain or France this lead to him thinking that he could do anything to these two countries. He could not do anything to stop him. Hitler was becoming more and more powerful day by day. When Chamberlain finally declared war on Hitler it gave him time to think of a plan to defeat Britain and time for Hitler to get an army together. At this time Britain was one of the most powerful country in the world but they never used there power to protect the counties that need it the most.

There was other reasons for the start of world war 2, one was that the terms of the treaty of versailles had been to harsh this made Hitler mad and want revenge no his allies. He also made Rhineland independent which was against treaty of versailles and made all the other powerful countrys want revenge on Hitler. Also the invasion on Abysinnian crisis shattered the peace after world war one, mussolini's decision shocked the world and nobody knew who to trust or whos side they were on.

Finally, , in 1930 Hitler produced an agreement called the Nazi-Soviet pact this meant that Russia could not fight against Hitler leading to them been weakened and scared of going to war.

In conclusion, i think neville chamberlain was responsible for world war two but he also had help from Hitler. I also think appeasement was the worst option to choose at the time and there could of been another way of stopping Hitler. Also, if Hitler had been stopped at first then none of this would have happened.

In 1923 hitler was the leader of the nazi party.
He got a 5 year prison sentence for the munich putsch.
1932 nazi party was the biggest in reichstag, november 1932 the nazi vote dropped back again.
Reichstag was a building that was set on fire in 1933.

Why did people support Hitler?
because he promised them things that they wanted
because it made people hate the communists and then vote for the nazis
He focused himself on the farmers and unemployed workers and middle class people, who needed the help most.
Made Germany become a big powerful country again.

Nazi Beliefs..
Rearm germany and retake what was lost at versailles.
He wantes blonde bule eyes aryans.
Any one else had to be removed from germany
Living space.
More room for the germans.

CONCLUSION.
In 1923 Hitler was the leader of the Nazi Party. The Nazi party was a very big country who had the votes in 1932. Then the Reichstag building was set on fire in 1933 people started to blame it on the communists this was a really big relief for Hitler as more and more people were voting for the Nazi party. The public started to vote for Hitler because he promised to get everyone in the country a job to make germany a big and powerful country again. He blamed the Jews and told the people that it was the reason why Germany were so bad. He focused on Farmers, Unemployed workers and middle class people. Some of the Nazi's beliefs were rearm germany and retake what was lost at versailles. He also wanted a pure race of blonde hair and blue eyes and everyone else had to be removed from Germany. He called this the 'master race'. Finally he wanted more living space for Germany.

Diamond Nine

http://classtools.net/my/diamond993968treaty_of_versailles___problems.htm
here is my diamond 9 on which problems were the most important out of 9 problems.

 1. i choose public opinion because public opinions back home in the coutries of the big 3 meant huge pressures on clemeanceau, wilson and loyd george.
2. each member of the big 3 wanted different things from the paris peace conference, which would cause more problems and conflicts between the countrys.
3.Germanys resperations were high, and that would make germany rebel against the amount and cause problems between  countrys.
4.The end of the Austro-Hungarian empire led to nationalist uprisings calling for independence across Eastern Europe. This caused problems between the treaty as other countrys realise there decisions wasn't very helpful.
5.The League of Nations, set up as a result of the Paris Peace Conference was not very influential or powerful. Wasn't a very good league and didn't really do anything successful and failed.
6.The secret Treaty of London (1915) between the Allies and Italy was not upheld at the Paris Peace Conference. Every country agreed no secret treaties but some countrys still did them.
7.The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk that ended Russia's involvement in WWI meant huge areas of land were given to Germany. Germany gained land and other countrys lost land.
8. Woodrow Wilson persuaded representatives from France and Britain to support the principle of self-determination. Didn't really cause any problems as both countrys wanted this anyway.
9.Britain soon came to see the Treaty of Versailles as a mistake. Britain was one of the last countrys to stay in the league and the league caused more problems than ever and was the reason why ww2 started.

The Abysinnian Crisis

Comments [1]

Manchurian crisis

The manchurian crisis was the first serious challenge for the league. At this time Japan was the most strongest country and had all the power. But because of the population increase they wanted more land so there was enough room to fit everyone in. On the 19th september 1931 there was a explosion in mukden on the south manchurian railway which japan owned. The japanese kwantang army looked at the explosion and decided to blame China for the accident without the Japanese government knowing. The army then used the explosion as an excuse to take of Manchuria. Because of this the Chinese government went to the league for action against japan. The league ignored China's request and Japan went into Manchuria and took over the land. They re-named the country
Manchukuo. Japan left the league when china tried to get japan into trouble and the league couldn't control there agression. This made the population and the other countrys realise that the league of nations cant control anything and then got named as 'powerless'. This showed the weakness of the organisation and most countrys just ignored the league when telling them to stop doing things because they now know that the league can't control a dispute between two countrys.
